trip to San Antonio
Well, I have finally left home for more than a day or so. I left Colorado Springs and 31 degrees and arrived in "San
Antone" to 60 plus weather. As I made my way south I noticed that Texas grows cactus and historic markers.
Since I love history it was hard to keep my car on track and not pull over to all the markers. I would still be driving
if I had done that. I did pick up a tumble weed that seemed to want to make the trip with me. Finally it got tired
of waving at me and left me after about 50 or so miles.

I have been able to catch up with friends and make
new friends while here. I have even committed to writing a novel in 30 days. No I am not crazy, just needed a kick in
the pants. Since I came to this city for a writers conference it made sense that I commit to a project. Yes those
of you who know me realize I have projects, but this is different.
I admit I have enjoyed my time here, but am
looking forward to seeing home tomorrow. I am sure I shall have more stories about the trip home, and after I process
all the information I took in here, stories about the conference.
